Camp Brave Heart

This past weekend I had the opportunity to spend three days at Camp Brave Heart. A camp for children grieving the loss of a loved one. It was tons of fun, a great learning experience, a chance to continue to grieve my own losses, and an amazing opportuntiy to relate to children in a fun setting. We had campfires, swam in the lake, went canoeing, watched a puppet show, did karaoke, danced, made memory boxes, saw a magician, went horseback riding, had a mermorial service, a drum circle, and various other bereavement activities. All the campers in my cabin were outgoing and loved the camp. I will definitly be going back next year!
