Hill Family: BARCELONA

Today, Jeff & I arrived safely in Barcelona, Spain. It was a very smooth flight, a short bus ride, and a simple walk to the AC SOM hotel. We spent a few hours walking around the city, saw some pretty sights....and smelled some not so pretty smells. It is fun to say "no abla espanol"....instead of hearing "no abla englis" all the time.....LOL. Some one tried to ask us for directions so we must fit in somewhat well. HA HA. It is quite smelly in the the more residential areas but absolulty gorgeous in the "touristy" areas. Most of the people don't "look" spanish. There seem to be people from all over the world here. Jeff is taking a power nap and then we are headed to the mall. THE MALL??? ....you might be wondering why one would want to go to the mall in Spain...well....it just so happens that last night in Ireland I almost got electricuted....LOL. I had my plug converter and I plugged in my CHI....when I hit the red reset button there was a loud noise, a large spark, and then no electricity. I believe I blew a fuse....oops! A hotel staff person had to come fix it and needless to say my hair is awful with no CHI. So I am hoping to find a hat, or some clips, or maybe just some hair gel so I don't have to look rediculous the rest of the trip. I guess the first thing I am buying when I get home is a new CHI. Jeff says I look just fine....and I probably do...but I can't stand it. After the mall we will get some dinner, some showers, and hopefully a good nights' rest. Last night was only about 4 hours of sleep and we were both so paranoid about not getting up on time for our flight that we kept waking up. And the night before, in Cork, everyone in the street was singing, screaming, and have a good time which we could here clear as day in our room so there was basically no solid sleeping. Time to go....we will post as soon as possible. LOVE YA!
