Well I said that I would share stories....and some stories I have. Jeff and I had an amazing time visiting with the family up north. However, the trip did not get off to such a smooth start. Our scheduled connecting flight from Detroit to Erie was delayed, delayed again, we boarded the plane, got off the plane, the flight was again delayed, and then cancelled around 11:30pm. Not only was the flight cancelled but they did not re-book us because there were no available seats for the next 36 hours. So we ended up getting hotel voucher, arrived at the hotel about 12:30. Settled in the room around 1 am, jeff was on the phone making arrangements till 2:30 am, and we picked up a rental car at 5am. We arrived, exhausted, yet excited in Erie at 9am on Friday. uuhhhh!
But on a good note, we were able to visit with tons of family, celebrate Grammie Allen's 70 Birthday, celebrate J.D.'s 4th Birthday (twice), went swimming, played with the kids, and toured everyone's homes. We can't wait to to it all again next year, as we hope to make this an annual event. Enjoy all the photos.
